WTS Nice tube stock clone

Post by E. Blake » Fri Aug 19, 2016 7:39 pm

Well, it's been fun having this rifle, but life has a way of re-setting priorities. So before I list this anywhere else, I wanted to list it here, where there's a better chance of it getting a good home!
This clone was built (as you can see) from mostly Valmet parts on a Norinco Hunter receiver. It was constructed by one of the best gunsmiths I've ever met. Given the price of parts (if they can even be found any more) and the cost of a base rifle, I know I could never build another one for what I'm selling this one for. The rifle takes any standard 7.62X39 mag.

Rifle and 2 mags for $1625 shipped.

PM me if you're interested. I will leave this here for a week or so before putting it out on Gun Broker.

Thanks for that.

It was fun to own for a while, but one of my kids needed some help. Nothing is more important than that.

Looks like whoever bought it resold it on GB for around $2100.
(edited for clarity).

Outstanding! He's happy. I'm happy. My daughter, who needed the financial help is happy. And somebody who always wanted a classic (looking) rifle is happy. How many chances do you get in life to make that many people happy with one little gesture?

I watched the auction GB and was surprised to see it go for that amount, not that it wasn't worth it, just surprised me a bit as it seems it wasn't that long ago that a original Tube stock was close to that price. Time flys.

I know; right?

I'm inclined to agree; but you're right: the more time that passes, the rarer these things (both real and cloned) are becoming.

Personally, I'm still looking forward to the day I can beat my sword into a plowshare (sigh), but I'm afraid that's still a ways off.
