Tikka barrels are the rarest and most people say most accurate versions of the M39. It does seem kind of high, but these suckers are hard to come by....

question about barrels

Post by Samppa V » Fri Sep 28, 2007 10:23 am

Are there demand for M39 barrels? I could try to find them at here, other barrels for finnish rifles also.

To be honest they do not really wear out, but normally get damaged from improper (or lack of) cleaning. But a real nice action and stock with a crappy barrel might have someone who likes the gun enough to spend for a new barrel to restore the gun's niceness at the expense of authenticity.

I would say the main demand would be M27 and M28 parts which are MUCH harder to find. I am looking for a correct M28 stock and hardware for my M28 (which has a M27 stock for some reason). I would also not mind getting some Finnish proof mark bolts to try and ensure my shooters have good headspace.
