WTB: 308 M83S/M76 compatible 20 or bigger magazines

Post by Sako92S » Wed Sep 30, 2009 8:51 pm

I need couple 20 round or bigger magazines for my brand new Valmet M83S.
It came only with 2 10 round magazines.
If Galil 308 magazine is compatible that will do fine also.
I can make the payment by paypal.

I believe that all of us would like to see your rifle and 10-round magazines (I do not believe that I have seen such)!!! :D
I am curious--- since the M78/83S was a peculiar, U.S. (ODIN) creation, what are the markings/serial number on your rifle--- you can PM me.
On the magazine query, stay with factory, Valmet magazines, though the Galils can be fitted--- can we send magazines out of the country without a hassle?

Pictures of my rifle is on picture thread on this forum. :)

I have bought several firearms from USA and parts for guns including magazines without hassle also.
That includes 4 Colt Ar-15 LE models and several lower receivers.

I have had bad experiences also. One gundealer stole worth of over 3200 dollars my firearm items. Some of them were bought from other dealers and the crooked dealer supposed to export them to me. All paperwork was done correctly and I had export license ready from U.S State Department. That dealer is "VLAD2000" from Gunbroker.com and auctionarms.com. Name is Preston Goforth and his associate Janet Solomon. They lived previously in North Carolina but moved to Florida. Company name is Novelty Warehouse Inc, DBA Freedom Enterprises.

There was a 20-round magazine FS on GB for $425.00, but it is not listed now.

Agreed--- I do not see the 20-round magazine that you are looking for very often--- patience may yield one for $200.00-$250.00!!!

I just got an offer of 2 magazines. Price was $350 each.
In my opinion price is still too high.
I'm not in hurry, I can wait. :)

Now that the ban is over, I have modified m-14 mags for my rifles.

I have three valmets. One .243 and two .308s. The mags altered for the .243 do not work in the .308, but the ones made for the .308 work in the .243. I believe it is a matter of what is the individual rifles preferrence. But, I do not have a large enough sample to be sure.

I am NOT asking for every member of the forum to send me a rifle, Tom, if you could just send me those members of your collection, which are .308 I am sure it would be a large enough sample to yeild scientific measurements. I would send them back just as soon as I was done.

Tony, do you see a fault with my reasoning? I am asking you because I know that you have already explored this.

$400 dollars is not too much for a peice of metal, but, it is WAY to much for a peice of sheet metal, no mater what you have done to it.
