(*) IF it was a bicycle grip i could see the price being decent, hell i would consider it if he didnt break up the bayonet from the package. but for the later grip, ill definately pass on it unless it was 1k cheaper (*)

Is this yours???
I agree for the most part--- a NIB is pretty rare.
I would be more likely to pay $4K if it had the manual, sling and cleaning kit.

No, it is not mine. I have an actual NIB 62 just as it was shipped from Valmet with ALL the acc. I even have the original sales receipt from 1976. I'd have to get a little more than $4000.00

How many do I need??? (not bragging) but really, I only need to keep so many. I am debating on selling it. I tried emailing you before to tell you I have a NEW bay and scabbard for an Ar70. I thought you were looking for one? $4001.00....................., No a bit more than that.

Good question. I guess it all depends on how you perceive your needs. I like to have some redundancy in my collection. I prefer new condition rifles, but I don't demand NIB condition. I purchased many of mine as "new" but without their boxes. In some cases, I think it's a good idea to purchase two of each type of rifle keeping one in NIB condition and the other as "like new" in its box. That way, I can actually shoot some of rifle rifles while keeping the remainder NIB. I suspect we each have our own thoughts on that.

As I get older, too, I've increasingly let my "wants" trump my "needs." After all... How many dollars do I really need?

It'll be interesting to watch the above auction to see if the seller gets any "bites."

I've tried emailing you a couple of times??? I told Tom here on this sight, I thought there was a problem sending/recieving emails????? He said he'd look into it and thats the last I heard anything. I'll try and figure out a price on it. Believe me it is the correct one and it is 100% NEW!

I'm not seeing any emails here at Valmet.org??????????
