Galil ACE

Post by nib » Wed Aug 12, 2015 12:41 pm

Any idea on timeline.
Per IWI 7.62x39 will be first.

I wonder if the 7.62x51 will use the old Galil magazines.
If so, Do you think we need to dump any Old 323 mags?
I just need a 76 milled folder in 7.62 x 39. and I swear to GOD I will stop.

I think I'm going to hold onto all of my magazines. Things are too uncertain.

The 21,22,23 use the galil .223 magazine.

The 52,53 use the galil .308 magazine.

The 31,32 use the standard soviet 7.62*39 magazine.

The N model is the only one to use the STANAG magazine.

I too would like to know which models will actually be imported. HEARSAY states that the .308 model to be imported will use stoner 25 magazines. I hope hearsay is wrong. I want the original .308 magazines to be readily availible. The galil .223 magazines are much better built than the 5.56 nato standard. Thus I guess my preferrence is again original.

When I went to the SHOT show back in January; according to their timeline, some of these models should of been here already.

The USA .308 models will take the SR25 magazines (same as a AR10); not the older designed Galil magazines. Which is bad since I have a lot of those.

The 5.56 model will take the NATO AR configured mags also.

I have not seen any of these but I would suspect the 7.62x39 will be very popular in an otherwise dead market.
