Galil Mag Questions

Post by Tallin » Wed May 23, 2012 3:46 pm

What is a fair price for a 25 round Galil Mag in 308, like the one in the photo below?

Is there another style of Galil Mag in 308?

Are Galil Mags still being manufactured by IMI?

100-125.

But I haven't seen any for sale in a while.

They may be a bit higher no

The converted M14 mags are a little less.
I just need a 76 milled folder in 7.62 x 39. and I swear to GOD I will stop.

In case you didn't see this already. We had quite a discussion a few years ago on the magazine markings...

http://www.valmet.org/forum/viewtopic.p ... hlight=iwi

For purposes of my inventory, I show my 1-08 marked magazines as post-ban "IWI" manufactured with an assigned value of $100 per magazine. I categorize my 1-86 marked magazines as pre-ban "IMI" manufactured with a somewhat higher assigned value.

308 Mags came in a box? I thought just some of the .223 ones did?

Eric,

All of the pre-94's that I have seen (unless loose) came in a box--- all of the post-94's that I have seen have been without a box!!!

Tony,

Just got some that are stamped 1-87 with no other markings, but are supposed to be IWI. The were sealed in clear plastic. Your thoughts? I have no idea!

1-87 would be IMI; not IWI. The later IWI 25 round mags have been for sale by Blackthrone for 99.00 for some time.

I have bought pre-bans in the box for 110.00 to 135.00; don't pay 175.00. You just have to pound the pavement.

Another lot showing a homemade M14 converted 25 round mag. It also shows the classic 4 round mag made for Haddar's; which many people say it is a 5 round Galil mag. (it has a 4 stamped in the corner of it) It does work in a Galil; since a haddar is essent

Here is the rarer 5 round mag (converted M14) made prior to the 4-round mag made for the Haddar. These were listed in the parts lists of Magnum Research and Action Arms
