.223 source

The middle of last year I started buying .223 ammo from www.militaryshooters.com up here in WI. He does several local shows and has frangible ammo from: http://www.kilgoreflares.com/viewItem.asp?ItemID=474
Several other friends have been buying the .223 and we've had good experiences. I've not tried the frangible .308 or pistol ammo he carries from other suppliers but so far this .223 is ok by me.

I've purchased about 4000 rds of the .223 from Fred at Military Shooters w/o any problems. I have no reason not to buy from him again.

Local Walmarts here have Federal 55gr FMJ in 100 rd bulk packs for $40. This is VERY good shooting ammo and pretty accurate, not necessarily cheap at $400 per 1,000 but good clean accurate ammo and a great source of brand new reloadable brass.

I suspect .223 will come down to abut $200 per 1,000 in the next few months, so only pay it if you think you really need it. Locally steel case ammo (Monarch) got as low as $4 a box recently.
