How about .30 Carbine ammo

Post by Robert @ RTG Parts » Fri Oct 26, 2007 1:03 pm

Usually avoid little guns but my all IBM M1 Carbine is looking very friendly while I recover from shoulder surgery. Who has the best deal for .30 Carbine ammunition???

AIM Surplus has some and J&G Sales has a good bit of Aguila.
Lake City has been tough to come by lately at about $0.30 a round.

Robert does have a 6 pound Sako TRG in .375 H&H but he says it was not the cause of his shoulder injury.....

Get a PS90 with the rail. Put optics on it and Lots-O-Fun Cheaper than a m1 to shoot. 19.50 per box SS195LF or 20.50 at Bass Pro Shops.
Light recoil and will be worth a bit in the next year.

Invest in

Euro optics that are in the country.
Any new imports will be getting expensive.

2 FS 2000s
2 PS 90s
2 Sig 556
2 Magpul rifles when they come out.
2 SL8/G36

Time is running out and the EURO is killing us.
These are probably the last modern Assault Type rifles we will get a
shot at buying.

Or, I could be way off.
I just need a 76 milled folder in 7.62 x 39. and I swear to GOD I will stop.

I would stick with the Sig556 and the coming FN SCAR series myself. The XCR also looks like a really nice rifle and it has a lot in common with the SCAR.

The P2000 breach is right in front of your eye and all that protects you is the flip up piece of plastic. I don't like bullpups to begin with but that one really freaks me out. I handled a Magpul Masada and was not impressed. A lot of good ideas but I would not choose it over a SCAR or Sig.

My Shopping list includes SIG and a SCAR HEAVY when available in 2009.
