DAEWOO K2 AR100

Post by Tallin » Mon Apr 02, 2012 8:55 pm

Anyone here have a DAEWOO K2 AR100?

I've been thinking about buying one, but wonder how they hold up, and if parts are still available?

Eric,

I do not have one, but I believe that it would be a poor investment, as a collectible!!!
Make certain that you purchase two (2), one for shooting and one for parts.

Eric,

Neither the K1 or K2 have increased in value over the last several years!!!
Very rarely do you see a NIB one sell very high, and that is probably a collector desiring to fill out the collection.
Also, I am not certain if parts are interchangeable with other rifles (e.g., the AR-15). :D

I had a K1 and K2 when they were first imported, and now wish I had stocked up on more folders (~$295 at the time?). I now have an older folder (AR100?). The handguard attachment looks flimsy, but I haven't heard any complaints about them not holding up.

The first version had interchangable uppers between the models. The K2 lower with the K1 upper made for a nice folder.

There is a group that supports the rifle, including new parts of different design and replacement parts. http://www.daewoorifleparts.com/forums/ ... um.php?f=8

I need to get a rail and try an optic out, which is easy to do on this model, and will be looking for an additional one sometime down the line.

I have a Daewoo k2.
Bought it in mint condition for $899.00, a couple years ago.
A very good pre ban piston rifle.
They hold up well, plenty of spare parts available.
Every pre ban collector Should have one!
They must be one of the best pre ban rifle deals, still out there.
