Might be getting a AR-70

Post by JOEZETA » Sun Jan 30, 2011 8:43 am

Read through some of the Ar-70 threads here....good info.....

For some reason, the AR-70 has never excited me, although i cant recall handling one in person.....

Anyway , i may have one fall into my lap via trade.......

I know there were only 20 or so folders imported...

Maybe a silly question, but is possible to convert these full stock models to folders ? Anything else to Jazz em up a bit ?

Tony, You are the Resident Expert on these......lmk what i can do...otherwise i may put it up for trade....

Thanks, Joezeta

Joe,

I believe that there were very few factory folders imported.
All that I have seen came in a "silver" (as opposed to brown) box.
Parts to convert to a folder will probably be unobtainium--- all parts kits that I have seen have had standard stocks. :x
I would think that you would need a stock adaptor and a shorter attaching bolt.
Let us know if you get the folder--- and post pics. :D

Joe,

PM back to you!!! :D
Over the years, I have been fortunate to acquire the following factory items: scope mount/rings, BFA and bayonet/scabbard--- along with various brochures and manuals.
