Imported as a pistol

Post by nib » Mon Jan 17, 2011 4:05 am

I did a USC to UMP conversion it DID need US parts

This is a pistol and imported as one. Zero US parts.

If I put a stock on a glock will I have to get us made parts?

Guess I will hit the NFA boards.
I just need a 76 milled folder in 7.62 x 39. and I swear to GOD I will stop.

Pistols do not come under 922!!! :D
Adding a stock to a pistol = SBR = NFA but no 922.

Recently, I understand that ATF has issued an opinion that all newly built rifles need to comply with 922, whether they are SBRs or not. When you convert a pistol into a rifle, you are building a rifle. The only exception is for machine guns.

Tread carefully. I wouldn't want to be the "test case".
