WTK: Anyone here own a 1962 HK G3?

Post by ValmetRKm62 » Wed Jan 12, 2011 2:17 pm

Anyone here have one of the orig. HK G3 1962 Santa Fe imports? I'm passively looking for one to add to my collection. I'm aware that there has been one on GB for a while but the condition isn't good enough for the money IMO.

Good luck on the search--- that is truly one of the holy grails of HK's--- remember, only the "3/62" has the true, push-pin, MG-type lower, which makes it more valuable than the "7/62" or "11/62"!!!

I'm familiar with the 3/62 G3s...even if I had that kind of cash I don't think I'd spend it one one of those. For those #'s I'd have to be able to drive it or live in it!

OK guys... Educate me... Where can I learn more about the 1962 rifles? I was born in 1962. I, perhaps, should own one.

Good idea, Tony. I don't visit that site very frequently. There's probably a treasure of info there.

Thanks for the link...I've been watching that gun and it's too low on condition for me, however $7500 is a good price IMO for one of these original 1962 HKs.
