Rifle theft.

Post by Alastair » Wed Oct 29, 2014 9:07 am

In February this year I was unlucky enough to be targeted by car thieves who attacked me as I got out of my car to open the gate to my local rifle club. I was left with various cuts and bruises but worst was the theft of my Finnish Lion Champion target rifle. The car was later found stripped down but not the rifle. I had owned this since I was 16 years old and had won competitions at the British shooting championships in the last two years in both A class and X class which is as high as it gets. I also had a trial to shoot for Great Britain. Can anyone advise as to a similar rifle for sale - this was the M59? model with heavy barrel, offset sights and a set trigger action.
Also are there any specialist dealers who could value such a firearm as the insurance offers are derisory!
Thanks for the help if anyone can advise.

I'm sorry to hear that happened to you... the world is full of cowards! Getting more and more as time goes on! Nothing worse than that. Good luck to you finding another gun. Though, having the one you did since being 16... I'm sure nothing could compare.

Best Regards!

Sorry for your misfortune!!!
Can you provide a serial number to be on the lookout for? :?:
The main auction sites here in the U.S. are Gunbroker, Gun Auctions, Guns America, Guns International, and Armslist--- just in case your rifle makes it to our shores.

I put up a wanted to buy ad in Canadas largest firearms forum, CGN.
If I find one that you like I can help with the export to you. Export from the USA can be more work but there are guys like Joel at Borderview International that can export from the USA.
