Hackman Bayo on GB, and E-bay....?

Post by 762AP » Wed Jul 16, 2014 4:46 pm

Anyone dealt with this seller?
I "won" the auction on GB, but he has it listed on E-bay, also, and has now relisted it on GB again after I asked why was it listed on both sites.
He now claims he "wanted more money for it", I'm thinking tough noogies, it sold, take the listing down.
Not real inspired to send this knucklehead money at this point.

GB auction I won.

GB auction he relisted.

E-bay.

Edit:
Looks as if the E-bay auction is not current at this time, but who puts "Item listed on E-bay, also, inquire for availability" in an auction that has "Buy it now" as a feature?
If you use the BIN, or win it at a lower price, buyer is still obligated to complete the deal, or negative feedback can be posted for them.
I haven't run into this before.
Anyone else here?
Thanks.

Confusing.
He has good feedback.

If you won it for $100.00, then that is the price.
He must sell it to you for $100.00.
If he doesn't, tell him he is getting negative feedback.

That isn't how GB goes.
As far as they're concerned, I have to send money, get ripped of, before I can post negative.
I've been through that before with a "nefarious" seller of rare AK items.
He never sent me a "Thanks for buying my garbage" e-mail with total and shipping address, I e-mailed him, asked total, I waited, and I waited, and waited some more.
After 2 months no contact, I told him I was posting negative for him for not following through.
He posted negative for me for "not completing the deal", even though I had no contact or total from him, and GB deleted my feedback for him.
As far as I know, they really only care about feedback from the people that pay their bills, meaning, the seller.

If you won the auction, it's yours. I'd go straight to the administrators with the complaint.

Go to GB.
Go to top where it says Buyer.
Go to Resolving problem with seller.

Appears his "relist" on Gunbroker ended today.
He claims he has another buyer ready to "pay more" for it if I don't want it.
And, he refuses to insure it, wants $5 more on top of the the $13 listed ship price.
Man, what a deal.... :?

If I was the winning bidder and had the seller's address, I think I'd simply make a screenshot of the winning bid, send that along with the $100 payment plus indicated shipping, and tell the seller I expect timely shipment of MY bayonet. If The shipper fails to ship the bayonet, I'd alert GB and seek damages from the shipper. After all... you are relying on the seller to honor his commitment.

Deal is done, payment on the way.
After some further commo, seems both buyer and seller may not have been "at their best" initially, seems to be resolved, so sent payment, should see it sometime next week.

Cool. I suspect a lot of us have been party to deals that, for various reasons, fail to go as smoothly as they should. Hope it works out okay.

Got it.
As advertised.
Pretty rough, the scabbard was really beat, but, I had another decent one.
Lots of wear, mainly on the handle, but for the price, not bad.

Yeah those are tough to find and even tougher to get a good price on. Nice score.
