RK-62 Case

Post by M62/M76 » Wed Jul 28, 2010 1:26 pm

I just scored a minty RK-62 case on ebay, for $60.00 shipped from Finland. I've been looking for one for a while now, so couldn't turn it down, looks to be pretty mint condition. Leather, canvas, straps and buckles look great.
Can't wait to put my M62 in it.

I got one last night on ebay too. $60 dollars shipped from Finland...40swan is the guy's ebay name. He's got a lot of great Finnish Army stuff on ebay.

Wondering if a wood butt Valmet woould fit this case? Rifles are same length but the wood butt is somewhat taller than the RK folders.

I'll try my M62's to see if they both fit (1 tube/1 wood).

OK, so I'm drinking some RUM tonight and playing with Valmets!
I tried out my RK-62 case, which is pretty cool.
Anyway, my M62 tube fit perfectly and my M62 wood fit perfectly!
Very nice cases for the money.

Ok, so it's been awhile, I couldn't help myself.

Thanks for the info. I snagged t the one currently on ebay for my M76W. Now, too bad they never made a case to fit an M78 in 7.62x39.

I've seen these cases in the past but no where this nice of condition. For some odd reason, all the good stuff seems to be turning up for many of these type of rifles and at a time when it seems no one much wants the stuff. I certainly wouldn't have thought I'd see mint bayonets for under $200 shipped again. Crap, I paid almost $300 for the last one I bought a couple of years ago. At least I got a good deal on the case :)

These are really nice cases for the money, I was surprised to get it so cheap.

I got my Valmet case from Finland (40swan) yesterday. It appeared to be so short, at first I thought that was for a folding stock Valmet...but my M76 fit in it perfectly. For a few hours in '08, I hung out with a couple of Finnish Army guys in Kabul. I checked out one of their Rk-95s with an Aimpoint M2 installed on top...I wonder if these M2 equipped Rks would fit into these weapon cases.

Yeah, when I saw the case at first, I thought the same thing, that it was too short for my M62's. But, they both fit in there perfectly!
