As expensive or unavailable as they are, there are very sound reasons to stick with factory made magazines in the Valmet .308.

If you were to make more I would suggest that you start with Beretta M-59 mags and determine the exact placement your particular rifle demands when modifying them. Remember to determine that the feed angle remains correct when feeding from both side of the magazine.

If the feed angle is wrong, bullets will strike the barrel face on insertion into the chamber. This is extremely dangerous.

Or Zastava 308 mags. They may work but are almost as expensive as the Valmet mags
I just need a 76 milled folder in 7.62 x 39. and I swear to GOD I will stop.

They will indeed work. But, are just as hard to find as the m-76.

I have a couple of MCP 30-rounders for M78 and these mags look like converted G3 mags to me. Some factory .308 M78 mags (the parkerized ones) also look like modified G3 mags. M78 and M76 mags are identical except for the added sideplates on M78 mags. So i dont see why there would be any problems using converted G3 mags in M76/Hunter. The problem is converting them - you would need to remove the sideplates on the G3 mags, which is a pain in the ass. You would also need to machine the lugs, and weld them on.
