Will an AK-47 top/receiver cover fits a Valmet M76 (.223)

Post by besolo » Sun Jan 03, 2010 12:00 pm

Ok, ok, before you guys start yelling at me, I was just wondering if a standard AK-47 top/receiver cover will fit my Valmet M76 (.223)?

I've found this one on the Midway website (http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?p ... ber=714473) and the price is nice enough to experiment with.

Feedback is much appreciated!

Yes it should. There may be a smidge more slop because the back of the valmet cover is thicker to tighten it since the sights are mounted on it. If the normal cover is too loose for you, can can experiment by thickening it with tape or something. But dimensionally it should fit just fine...

I tried a couple and they didn't fit at all. I'm not one to start filing and messing to make it work.

Ah well, for €30 I'm willing to take the risk. If it doesn't fit I'll use it on my Arsenal.

Welcome to the forums Besolo. I was in the Wassnaar Neatherlands for D Day last year. Beautifel country with very long days in June.
The North sea was just a bike ride away from where we were.

On a side note we took the Talace train to Paris and while walking on a side street by the Louvre I spotted a small grey faced, black circle eyed guy walking with a giant African American man. Rahm Emanuel! I looked him in his eyes and said in my best Louisiana HOW YOU DOIN!
He just looked at me in amazement. Then I yelled God Bless America! as he passed 4 feet behind me.

In a nasally little voice he semi enthusiastically said ALL RIGHT.

I should have said GOD BLESS THE SECOND AMMENDMENT!

I started looking around and they had SS agents in allys and on corners. Most of which were black. Not that that is bad. But they stood out pretty bad.

My brush with Greatness
I just need a 76 milled folder in 7.62 x 39. and I swear to GOD I will stop.
