Post by vacountryboy » Thu Feb 26, 2009 2:40 pm

it has a strange symbol on the left side of the receiver above the trigger.
looks like a drum writing pht
it is marked valmet, inc elmsford ny on bottom of reciever,
on the right bottom of the receiver there is a strange small unicorn symbol and a C.
what have i got
p.s could use some advice about magazines it came with 2 but that aint enough

Could you post a photo? That would be helpful.

Welcome to the site! I take it from your moniker that you're in Virginia? I'm in central Virginia. Good to have another Valmet guy from the Old Dominion!

Sounds like the famous "beer keg" symbol. If so, it was originally Indonesian Coastguard contract. Same with the gray phosphated magazines. Wood buttstock ?
