Which one to buy, if either?

Post by mtnfir » Sat Sep 29, 2018 2:21 pm

Hey there, I'm looking for some advise. I have a line on two separate valmets and only enough money for one. I guess I have two questions as well. Which one is the better deal? Secondly, which on is likely to be a better investment.
The first one is an M76 in .308 with a folding tube stock and milled receiver. It has some mags to go with it at an extra price. The fellow is wanting $6500. This has been shot and doesn't seem to be a safe queen.
The second is an M62 in 7.62 with a wooden stock and cheese grater. It doesn't have the bicycle grip. The asking price is 5k It will come with one Valmet mag. The fellow that owns this hasn't shot it and he's had it for many years.

Thanks in advance for any advice.
Cheers!
Carl

Whelp, I'm not sure if I made the right decision. I ended up getting the 76 in .308 for about 4 K. I purchased a bunch of extras too like 5 nib valmet factory 20 rounders, sling, cleaning kit Rumor converted mags and some other stuff too. I pick it up tomorrow. Can't wait to send some lead down range.
