As I recall they have to be modified to work in a Valmet. I think they may have been made by a different co. than Polytech. Is it marked with a triangle?

The 78 in 5.56 is most likely the rarest of them. They were just not very popular. I am not sure having never owned one if it is possible to swap the wood forearm from other caliber models but I would guess that it would work. Tony I think there were some early approved imports that were semi-auto with the third pin hole and a pin. Not many but maybe a few early imports.

Really, red alert! AIM Surplus and others are now selling Red Army copper jacketed non corrosive ammo! This should be good stuff for Valmets.
