Just in, M62. A few dings in the wood and looks like a few rounds down the pipe but in outstanding condition.Image

Thanks! I left it out of the buttstock kit, I really had to push and squeeze to get in the tube stock so it had to go.

Cleaning kit implement.

The standard Valmet buttstock cleaning kit comes with an implement that looks somewhat like a bottle opener. In the owners manual it's described as a screwdriver and does have a flathead screwdriver on each end. Is there some other purpose to this thing? The only screw That even remotely fits it is ...

Mark, I have an M76 .223 stamped receiver that I need a buttstock for, I doubt if your plastic one will fit. For a wood Valmet buttstock on GB they're asking around the $250 mark, but they aren't moving. Let me know what you want to sell, I live in a free state, Indiana!

As close a fit as the Galil mags are, I wonder why someone hasn't figgered out how to modify a Galil mag to be used safely in a Valmet. It's got to be a pretty minor fix.

Interchangeability of Valmet AK and other AK parts

For the Valmet 7.62x39 AK do other AK parts like magazines, bolt carriers, bolts and firing pins interchange? Or did the Finns create an AK that will only use Finnish parts. If so, I think I'm Finnished! ; )

Mikhail Kalashnikov has died

The genius behind the AK 47 and all of it's derivatives has passed away at the age of 94. A truly great man, R.I.P.

Love the dark wood stock sets. Did I read they were Ironwood Design manufacture? The Chicom AKs have always been more comfortable for me to shoot, I think they have the stock at a greater angle than the European AKs. I'm down to one, but I have a select fire Polytech underfolder on the way. That'll ...

There are several states I would not live in, California is at the top of the list and New York is a pretty close second. Poor bastards. If any Valmets need rescue, I'm here to help! ;)

I would think the fact the factory .223 mags are selling at $250 is a good indication of the demand for these mags. I thinking the 3D printer might hold the answer.
