which valmets did the finnish military really use?

ive wondered which varients of the preban valmets were made solely for US import market and which were actual military weapons?
from what ive learned the m62 tube, m78 762x39, and m82 were the only ones? are there any others?
did the 62/s wood stock ever see military use or only the tube stock?

I would be interested in the M78 ( 7.62x39 ) if NIB w/ all !!! :D Tony not NIB. :( i sold it to him before last summer to fund an excursion. it has a wood front grip. no carry handle! at the time i had 2 78's with the black plastic grip and only one with wood, he happened to want the wood grip, so....

I would agree for the most part but the milled 76 wood stock guns in 7.62x39 may actually be the rarest. That is pure speculation since we do not have any actual import numbers. is the milled 76wood you mention marked as 76/62 or 62/76? ive seen a pic once of one marked like that and wondered if th...

id agree, ive had at least 3 78's in 762x39 all stamped, never seen a milled one though, only seen 2 76's in 762x39 for sale in the last few years -one milled , one stamped, i see 82's pop up often. the .223's are everywhere. id put the value of the 78 in 762x39 along the lines of the 62/s tube with...

sure picked one of the hardest valmet questions since the beginning of time. you will have better luck buying a complete 62/s and switching the grip than actually finding one loose! its happens but you might only see that grip up for sale once every 3-4 years if you are lucky enough to find it befor...
