Years ago, I saw a Finnish military photo of said weapon with a PU scope on it.

May get stock and all for a good price. Despite the ad, it's a 71 stock. I got over 50 bucks for the last plate I sold on ebay - they do turn up there on occasion.

The only weapon I ever owned that would blow the back-half off the case off, eject it properly, then chamber a new round into what was left of the case was a WWI BSA Lewis MG. It was not a case of excessive pressure and in my case, it turned out to be grossly excessive headspace. It would be rather ...

I honestly think someone did that post factory, especially since it also bear the Indonesian coast guard crest. Who knows, may Indonesian ordered some parade rifles. Also, from what I can see, the quality of the plating doesn't appear to be as good as what is seen in the M71 photos.

The 40 rounder - right? Sounds like one of the converted HK33/93 magazines. These days, they are bringing about as much money as factory 30's.

Look like this ?

Personally, from a collectors point of view, I would not buy a Hackman since only Fiskars came into this country as an option for our Valmets. Since few collectors are "really" collectors - it doesn't seem to matter these days.....

That'll work for now. As far as digging through all the crap on ebay - try searching for "sako rings"....that will narrow it quite a bit. About the only thing you can do to aluminum is paint it or anodize it ...

Just make sure you get the rings with the screw up through it's base. I see now that they're making several styles but in the past, I have seen quite a few of the proper ring sets in ebay ....

I assumed you had the quick detach base ? Rings are held on with screws up through the base on these mounts and can be changed. Rings are standard Sako/Valmet rings.

No problem. Everyone of these mounts I have seen use "low" rings. At any given time, there are Sako or Valmet rings on ebay in medium and high configurations.
Also, Leupold and others make sako/valmet style rings. Either will replace the ones you have.

My experience with these mounts and others like Zrak, etc. tells me they made these mounts to fit 1 inch and 26mm scope tubes. It will just "pop" on over the tube. If you're worried about scratching the scope, I'd suggest a decent piece of paper between the two that you can slip out once it's on.
