Firing pin retainer is just a plain old steel pin of correct diameter and length. Extractor pin is not as simple - it's notched on one end and the ends are angled. If it were me, I'd try standard AK parts.

I imagine that is what Valmet used since they both use the same case. .243 is a just a necked down version of the .308.

Agree with AGG. I was dumb enough to pass on the 76 folder in 7.62x39 back when they were around a grand....but I do have the 78 in 7.62x39.

Sounds like the famous "beer keg" symbol. If so, it was originally Indonesian Coastguard contract. Same with the gray phosphated magazines. Wood buttstock ?

One of my 5.56x45 30 rounders is parkerized rather than blued. I was told it is original. I really like the parkerized finish. It resists scratches and other blemishes better. I have one also that is light phosphate finish. I believe these were Indonesian contract mags for all those "beer keg" M76's.

I have three that came out of Finland years ago that aren't marked.
