RM 308, I believe it to be a 92 top cover as well, it has been... changed. There was NO need whatsoever, to cut the cover for the buffer. That said, the buffer hides the cut nicely so you will NOT think of FIXING it further. If you with to modify a cover, ak covers sell for as little as $20 dollars....

Twelve post and his carpentry looks like E. Blake's.

I just noticed how dated this tread is. I hope all is well.

Dear Mike, Thanks, But, I am just young enough that bitter old man is not yet becoming. I am afraid that I am NOT leaving things better than they were for the next generation. I am doing what I can instilling a love of shooting and hunting on young individuals. But, one on one, can not affect the wh...

I would expect that the trunnion is intact. Even if they welded the ramp when it was riveted into the receiver it only butts up against the trunnion, with a minimal contact of surface area. It should not have efficiently transferred too much energy to the trunnion itself. Even if it did transfer som...

The administration of WJC did this to MILLIONS of m-14s. At least more m-14s are now being ordered. But, the new ones have a cast receiver, not forged. It is a little heavier, but, it does not PING quite the same way when the carrier has retracted fully. Anyone who forges steel will understand. I wi...

This action only makes sense to a goober ment that is far removed from the opinion of those, which it serves. Or we, here, are a bunch of anachronisms. I am not sure, which, of these options is more disturbing or accurate. I suppose, I should be happy as all of our remaining examples of a limited co...

Mike, you already know the wood, scope mount, flash hider and bipod are not factory. The Finns indeed made a sniper variant, it was the 78/83, not this... thing. But, the metal looks like it is in good condition. It appears to have three valmet steel mags two of which look like 15 rounders. The scop...

Dear Tony, He wants 7,500 for this. I know it is rare. Valmet Man looks like he valued it and it must be pristine and in box, but, he wants 7,500 for this. This is a serious down payment for a controlled commodity toy. I would like to Welcome Valmet Man to this site and to encourage him to post pics...

I mostly agree with your opinion about the golanis, but, Valmet hunters are just a little more. Further, they are available in be...

Valmet parts kits are impossible to get. Well, you have done the hard part already. Now I would look for a Bulgarian forged milled receiver. There is one on Gbroker currently. Yes, you will have to open the mag well. This is not difficult if you build a jib and are very patient. Contouring the recei...

I am not horrified that he got drunk, killed a girl and at the very least was criminally negligent in the way he handled the whole situation. I am horrified that he was continually elected as a senator to represent a commonwealth after such. He was the lesser of the two problems from MA. Good reason...

I like the bolts from the Sig556 and the Beretta AR70 more than I like the bolt from the Daewoo. The Daewoo chamber is as tedious to clean as an ar15. But, the Daewoo is very well made. They are accurate, reliable and not that expensive. If you are used to trying to find spare parts for a valmet, th...

Now that he has died, we will witness the process by which one recognizes a saint. This may actually be more difficult to oppose than the man himself. Look at what LBJ was able to ram through congress as JKF's legacy. At least it will be applied to universal health care, which is well opposed, inste...

Once, you would have been warned that Valmets are not only addictive, but, an expensive addiction at that. It get worse. The magazines are expensive too. Spare parts, are seldom needed, but, when they are they are not only near impossible to come by they are expensive as well. You might want to cons...
