Unfortunately, there have been no takers for any barrels besides myself. So it looks likes they will be producing the minimum order for me and the builder alone.

WTB: Stock for milled Valmet

Hey guys, I'm in need of a stock for a milled Valmet (slant mount). I'll take any style — plastic or wood for milled M76 or M78. No Hunter stock, though.

Thanks!

I stand corrected. I was unaware that milled M78s also had the small gas tube retaining screw like a Hunter.

It's definitely a Valmet M88 Hunter receiver converted to a Galil R4/LM4 hybrid. The gas problem is likely due to the replaced Valmet gas block. I've got the parts to turn it back into a Hunter, but that receiver has been modified for the Galil FA safety selector.

Please don't do anything crazy to your M62S like that 5th pic. Try to find a Fidelis Firearms adapter if you can (I don't think they make them anymore), or have a machinist fabricate a similar adapter. The fourth pic down shows a later Sako M76 which was never available here. The mounting method for...

Thanks for checking back! A prototype 7.62x39 barrel is in the works as we speak.

Thanks, it's something to consider. There appears to be some debate on the two barrel making methods. I'm no expert. In this case, hammer forged is obviously better historically. But I thought Douglas made match barrels? What's been your experience with button rifling? Long 7.62x39 barrels are in th...

New Valmet Barrels - Any Interest?

I am talking to a reputable manufacturer who's looking into reproducing new Valmet replacement barrels for our community (he owns a Valmet, too). The high-quality U.S. made blanks would come from Douglas Barrels. You can have your choice of moly or stainless steel in 5.56, 7.62x39, or 5.45. Barrel l...
