Thanks for the info. How do I tell what mfg it is? I don't recall any markings on the receiver ring (aside from #'s and the "S"). I'll have to dig it out of the safe and take some pics. It's definitely the rifle version...you could pole vault with the damn thing. As I remember condition is spotty, d...

I've handled them and while lightweight, it felt very clumsy to me. And the ejection port is interesting (through the top) but didn't make a lot of sense. Personally, I'd go with one of the new US-made AUGs or the MSAR StG-556. Just my .02

WTS: Pre-Ban Stoner SR-25 Sporter

I know it's not a Valmet but... WTS: Pre-Ban Stoner SR-25 Sporter, rare gun only 130 or so were made before the ban (this particular one was made in March 1993). 20" barrel, birdcage hider, A3 carry handle. Gun is absolutely mint with 2 mags (1 factory steel 20-round, 1 orig. Armalite 20-round "waff...

I would think that the wood-stocked/milled 76s in 7.62x39 are just as rare as the tube-stocked milled 76s (although maybe not quite as desireable). Mine isn't model-marked.

7.62x39 stamped 76 on GB

There is a fixed-tube/stamped 76 Valmet in 7.62x39 on GB w/early cheesegrater forearm. $4500 is the starting bid and there is a reserve...about $1k too high IMO. Just letting you guys know.

Mine is a Sigarms, Tysons Corner import and it doesn't have the upper HG. Same type of flashider though. Every late AMT I've seen has that type of FH.

AR70

The $5800 AR-70 folder isn't even a factory SC-70 with upgraded parts. He is dreaming on that one! I've got a bid in for $2k on the one on GB but I'm not going to pay $2600+ for one (the AR mag adapter means nothing to me). Thanks for the help guys!

I think between 1972 and 1975/76. Others here could prob shed a little more light on that.

$3500?? I know of a NIB one that sold for $6K back in June. I paid a little over $4k for mine. $3500 for a stamped one maybe. Although not as desireable as the milled 76 FOLDER (although probably just as rare) it is after-all a milled 76 in 7.62x39. I would put one in the $4-6k range depending on co...

I think the FAMAS import #'s were well under 250...more like 100. I've only ever seen 2 for sale. The one fairly recently on sturmgewehr for $10K and one a few years ago for like $9.5K. Neither was for sale very long. HTH.
