Thanks for the response, JMS! Because some of the "postban" Galils that I have seen appear exactly as the preban models, with the exception of the "S" to the right of the model number.

It is my understanding that Steyr imported the Egyptian Maadi only in @ 1982 (is this correct?).

Valmet M82

Just to get the blood flowing, it is my understanding that the M82 was manufactured in limited numbers and imported into the U.S. @ 1982-1983 (is this correct?).

Does anyone know how many were manufactured/imported?
