GoodGuy,

No, you should visit Finland instead!

Much more Valmet and Sako rifles here, in different calibers and styles.

Welcome!

Hi, I've had the Standard model for a couple of months now and I'm very pleased with it. When comparing it with the AUG the truly ambidextrous operation is a big plus. No need to change bolt/ejection port cover, just move it to the other shoulder and keep shooting ! It feels somewhat lighter that it...

Unfortunately the B&T rail system is little too long to be used in Valmets. At least the one I have does not work with my M76. On the other hand, if one has the possibility to lenghten the threads (for the front hand guard fastening screw) towards gas block then it should work. Take off the flash hi...

No, not

yet but hopefully someday. Nice guns, nice to shoot but the price is not so nice :(

Am a little jealous to those who already have one but who really don't understand the value of it, maybe someday will have one... or two or more...

Left or right

To which side of the receiver the stock folds in your Valmet? If you have a model which folds to the left then its like nib wrote. In those models where the stock folds to the right there is not a similar locking mechanism as "lefties" and they don't lock up, they just fold to the right side of the ...

Yup there is some but they seldom move around. I found mine a couple of years back, it was a bit pricey for a milled receiver 7.62x39 folder but anyhow I just had to get it.

RE: How are the Valmet folders to shoot?

bucshot, Which folder you referred to, the one that folds to the left or right side? Left side folder has a little play when open but it's still good to shoot. Right side folder locks open like a rock, only difference to fixed tube stock is the deeper sloping angle of the tube (to make it possible t...

In Valmet poll the M76 (milled receiver) with right side folder in 7.62x39 is the one.

When going to shooting one always has to make the tough decicion which one to take, above mentioned or the Sako M92S. Quite often both of them follows to the range 8)

There might have been something wrong with the original and then they (even at the factory) replaced it with another one.
