I think you may be right Goodguy...If I don't get an offer 'I can't refuse' I can shoot it and if the economy ever turns around it will be worth more anyways

I guess the value is north of 4K so multiple rifles or rifle $ cash...
Galil, FAL, RPD, or something interesting/unique (ya never know)

I may end up just keeping it and if I do, it's going to get shot

GONE: Valmet Model 76W Milled 7.62X39

GONE Ok, I just picked up this unfired 99% Valmet Model 76 7.62X39 milled/wood stock. It is UNFIRED (no box) but I don't think I can bring myself to fire it. I MAY be interested in trading or will think about selling it but not right now. So, I'm mainly interested in Galil's, another Valmet in 7.62X...

Unfortunately for him she has absolutely no interest in guns but in shoes and purses so he's SOL. When I pick up the other Galil this weekend I'll post pics and also adding 2 Daewoo's to the stable :)

I have one as well and they are one of the most under-rated rifles out there. It's head and shoulders above any military style rifle in it's price range as far as I'm concerned.

Actually I'm picking up a IMI Galil 392 ARM (5.56) Daewoo K1A1 & Daewoo AR100 from him in 2 weeks :D

BTW, how many of the wood stocked Valmet m76 7.62X39's were actually ever imported? Thanks...

That will be pretty much it for him. He took over 100 to a gun store a cpl months ago :(

New family members: Valmet m76 7.62X39 & Galil 332 ARM

I just picked up 2 new 'members' yesterday. I had to drive 7 hours round trip but well worth it! Pics to follow shortly :) The first is a Valmet m76 7.62X39 milled followed by an IMI Galil ARM 332 (.308). I picked them up from a collector who is having to sell his entire 200+ rifles to keep his wife...

Well, that info. along with confirmation of M62/76 makes me feel so much better. I thought it looked original because the bolt carrier finish matches the rest of the Valmet but never knew they had used both designs in the 71. Thanks again guys, this forum rocks!

The "flanges" aren't the technical name I'm sure but here's a photo of what I'm talking about. This is what my M78 bolt looks like and I thought all Valmets had them. Thanks again for any input.

Thanks so much. I really appreciate the info. I knew someone here could shed some light on the situation. I was just concerned that it didn't have the flanges on the piston and maybe someone who does have one or knows can chime in if they all had them but maybe not on the 71 .223's BTW, I'm the prou...

Valmet 71 bolt question...PLEASE HELP

I'm pretty much a Valmet newbie. I just traded for a very good/excellent 71/s but I have 1 concern. My bolt looks just like the bolt in my Arsenal 106FR (5.56) except it does have a small hole in the dome of the piston. As you can see from the pics it doesn't have the 'flanges' like pistons I've see...
