That is likely an unobtainable part. However I imagine you could adapt a set of Lyman globe or diopter sights with a decent gunsmith.

There were so few of these rifles imported that I imagine some percentage of them will be missing parts like these.

NFA AK-Types of any caliber have not really gone below $14-15k in the last few years. Since you can mod the auto receiver to any configuration and caliber you want for a couple thaousand with an NFA gunsmith, the demand for the limited number of NFA receivers is high, thus the high prices. When all ...

Good news. He may need to fab some tool bits to get the barrel in there, but if he makes them he will use them to make his own rifle..... Maybe that will start a trend. Where did you get the kit and receiver from??? I know that I saw magazines for this rifle at one of the places I browse frequently...

Oh that is not that long, I have seen them big ones for:
-Turkey Shoot Shooting
-Long Range Duck/Geese/Dove

Friend of mine has a turkey shoot gun with like a 48" barrel. Anything to get the little itty bitty pellets to group tightly....

For $1500 you can get a 556. The only differences are: -AR Mags instead of 55X AK style mags -1:7 twist barrel as opposed to 1:12 in the 550 (which is BETTER since there are so many great 70+ grain loads out there) Every other feature has been duplicated, from the folding stock tot he diopter sights...

Try Troy Sellars an InRange in TN. He has done a lot of AK work and Galil work also, so the AR70 should not be a stretch. If he tells you a return time, he is usually good for it (or a lot closer than other folks) He turned some custom AK work around for me in a reasonable time (~6 months) at a time...

Mark Graham (Gunplumber) at ARS DOES do good work. However he does it in his own time at the pace it takes to make the gun right.

He made this for me, even signed and dated the build:

There was great deals on Winchester Ranger 00 Buck (Reduced Recoil LE load) for like $2.00 a box recently. I also notice that Walmart has discounts on number 4 and 5 shot turkey loads, in 3 and 3.5 inch chamberings, which would work pretty good in an inside defense situation. They were like $5.50 fo...

You need the receiver block for the galil/milled AK. I think you have to cut the tang off. I think these are the right ones: http://riflestocks.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=85&products_id=309 http://riflestocks.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=85&products_id=310 The first sticks out more and...

I have *heard* that this ammo will not be available for civilian sale. However, the technology is not unique, so while the Lake City loading of this round will not be available to civilians I am sure the civilian friendly sources (Federal, Black Hills, etc) will have a identical load available at so...

There are a lot of slight variations, but any AK disconnector will work. My M82 has what appears to be a full auto disconnector in it with the stepped tail. It does nothing other than stop the trigger from being hit and causing trigger slap when the bolt recoils. Without the auto safety sear, bolt l...
