Figured if we are going to be talking about silver colored Valmets we need to have Buddy's parade picture to look at. This is borrowed from buddy Hinton's Picture page all photo credits go to him.

Yes, the scope mount top cover and the mount are a good thing. They were going for $300 -$400 in the states when I bought mine in the early '90s I paid $275 for the set I got, but the rings on the mount were not original Valmet (so the good price). The owner had replaced the original ones with a set...

I'm not sure about the looks of that.

The Valmet three prong suppressor/bayonet lug is one of the distinct features that sets a Valmet rifle apart from other AK rifles. In my opinion, replacing it with something else just seems like a step in the wrong direction. YMMV.

151 euros is cheap price for it here in Europe. I wouldn't sell mine for 250 euros. Sako92S, I know what you mean. I was surprised to see it listed with a 100 Euro starting bid. I though for sure there would be a bid war at the end of the auction, but there wasn't. I was surprised to see it sell fo...

Lucked onto a bayonet

http://i.imgur.com/5ytE3sv.jpg http://i.imgur.com/ot1YRBS.jpg Stumbled onto this one on egun while looking for a G3 bayonet for my HK91, starting bid was 100 euros. I got it for 151 euros. Not quite as cheap as the forty-five dollar Hackman in the tan sheath I passed on in 1983, but at least i have...

Zastava M77 perhaps?

Has anyone tried a Zastava m77 mag yet?

They are single walled at the top, and have an AK style front and rear lug.

I think with a little modification of the front and rear lugs and some minor tweaks to the feed lips it might work.

That is not the original .308 bolt. The originals were of a much heavier construction and were left in the white .

As soon as I complete the import of my m-76 I will post a few pictures of the bolt and carrier, if someone doesn't beat me to it.

AGG, That's the one. I wrote the guy selling it to give him a heads up. I think it was an illegal conversion at one time (hell for that matter it still is). I think the original owner/converter took out all the select fire bits and sold it to someone not that familiar with with the Valmet AK platfor...

Big trouble?

Guys found this for sale. Looks like it might have been "modified" at some time in its life. What say you?

FYI his kits don't come with a magazine, AMHIK. The kit I got was nice but for the price I paid for it, it should have come with a mag. G57

Sako92s,

Contact the person at the following address. He lives in Holland and might be able to help you out. I think at one time he actually had one in stock. IIRC it was rather spendy at $275.00, but if you need one... Let us know how you make out. Nice AR by the way. guisan@swissinfo.org

$2,500.00 for a .223 M78 let alone with a butt plate that looks like that? I think he's smoking a little to much crack. I guess we'll see.

Guys,

Thanks for the intrest in the wood grips and cheese graters. Just a quick post to let you know that I am planning on making some for all those who would like a set.

If all goes well, I should be able to get back to the wood shop around the end of April.

Gents, Thanks for all the compliments. I was going to offer these for sale after I figured out the production process, and the best way to make them. I have been called back to active duty and will not able to make it to the wood shop for awhile. I will post again when I can take a few orders. JMike...
