The 21,22,23 use the galil .223 magazine. The 52,53 use the galil .308 magazine. The 31,32 use the standard soviet 7.62*39 magazine. The N model is the only one to use the STANAG magazine. I too would like to know which models will actually be imported. HEARSAY states that the .308 model to be impor...

Is the Bernardeli vbsr still in production?

If so, is the company affiliated with Beretta?

Apex currently has small parts like the mag catch. Their prices are lower than the competition and their descriptions of conditions I have found to be accurate. Please note that weapons are not lightly surplused out of Israel. These rifle were used, and abused. The parts remaining for individual sal...

Nib, I do trust you. However, a scientific study of one is not science. Nor is it science without measurements and documentation. I don't know if the forum is large or active enough to generate data. Maybe you could see if your individual results are reproducible? I have m-88s. The hunter/petra vari...

EDIT: To add the Finns had been considering adapting a new rifle. It means only that the Finns will not yet be replacing their Valmet and Sakos. At least this way we dare hope for the limited production of some new parts, Simply out of necessity, The Finns know this is not cost effective. Old parts ...

The M-77 magazines are shorter and wider.

I assume that the M-76 being for 7.92x57 are also shorter than the hunter magazines for 7.62x63 and are also too wide. But, I have NOT had the opportunity to ever actually compare them to each other.

I recall a professional smith putting a valmet on gunbroker which accepted Nato standard 5.56x45 magazines. Not a bad idea right? The adapter worked apparently so it must have been a custom recreation. Even so, it was permanently installed with a few small tig welds. I would think this was done to g...

The Galil magazines hold the same cartridges. The Galil magazines do fit in the Valmet magazine well. They lock up tightly. They may even feed rounds into the chamber. They do NOT do this SAFELY. The 5.56 magazines for these two rifles are different. Galil magazines often feed the rounds into the ba...

Sako, Very accurate work. All the more impressive as you do not have an example sitting before you. The only discrepancy I can see so far is with the scope mount sheet metal dust cover. Both dust covers have the same flattened plane on top in the back. Otherwise everything appears spot on. I will be...

Yes, I see the heading of his auction, but, read what he states carefully. I think he knows exactly what he is selling.

Search several of the gun forums for Galil .308 promag reviews. It looks like that is what these are. Considerations are that while these will probably fit and lock up are they safe in your rifle and will they be reliable. Your rifle is expensive. The real mags for your rifle are expensive too. Your...

Sako,

The falfiles dot com has a daewoo forum. I mention this as they have an individual Vandal968 who is as talented as you. The two of you are inspired by different rifles, but, I think you will also appreciate his work as well.

The Tavor's bolt carrier looks like an AR-18 bolt carrier with the forward addition of a fixed long stroke piston. I would love to handle one. I regret not buying an 180b but could not quite convince myself to fully trust a composite lower. This rifle would have to convince me to overlook not only t...

Lets assume, contrary to the fact, that they fit and locked in just fine. The feed angle is still not likely to work. The result, bullets shoved back into the brass when the bullet strikes the barrel face on insertion into the chamber. This will result in an extreme over pressure. Search the web and...
