Yes, VKT is the WW2 market for the Valmet factory and the SA mark is stamped on all weapons in use by the Finnish Army during WW2. Ammo for that critter is tough to find these days... Main reason it's in the gradual process of being converted to 20mm Vulcan. I understand that the process is ...

Do I have a Valmet? Is this the Valmet factory stamp?

Well, long story short, I have a Lahti, and someone pointed out that the stamp on the side of this thing is the Valmet factory mark... is this true?

If so, cool! I've always wanted a Valmet, and now I have one!

Valmet 62 barrel replacement options?

Just curious what could be used to replace a '62 with a frosty barrel, anyone have any ideas of substitutions that would retain some accuracy?

ARE there any options?

(doubtful) Any unused 62 barrels floating around out there?

Keep in mind that while steel case is not a problem, steel jacketed bullets are. Most Wolf sold in the U.S. is made with copper washed steel jacketed bullets. In a cheap AK or one with a chrome lined barrel this may not be a problem. Steel bullets can wear the bore of your Valmet. Wolf aslo sells c...

I read somewhere that the 71 has some kind of sight problem or problem in that area with stability. Please correct me if I was misinformed. I'm considering a 76 in .223. I've seen them around for as low as $1200.00 very recently on GunBroker. John 1200 isn't too bad. I figured I'd be lucky to find ...

Personally , I prefer the Valmet , factory sites for quicker target acquisition !!! :D I know you from another board--- welcome here . Tony I'd prefer the factory sights too, only reason I'd go with the AK-type the 71 seems to be a good 700-800 dollars cheaper. For someone like me, that's a ...

The Lahti 39 is awesome !!! I even see parts and accessories (e.g., magazines recently ) for sale on Sturm . :D However, I would keep the original caliber . Tony If components to reload the original caliber were remotely available I would. As it stand, I can either spend 75 dollars p...

With the Century GaliliIt would seem to be all about the headspace. From what I have read the receivers may be a bit too soft and they can grow in length. Gunplumber also noticed that some of the receivers may not have equal bolt lug alignment. Personally I think the the stamped receiver Valmet 76 ...

Valmet 78's for 1200 bucks.

If the online inventory is current, I figured you guys might appreciate this link. I'm not really in the market for a 78, just doesn't do much for me. Seems like one hell of a deal, though.

Are Century Galil Golani's even worth the consideration?

These things would be the only realistic way for me to get a Galil, but everything I've read about them tells me to stay far, far away from them. Anyone have any positive experience with these things, or are they all monkeyed together crap?

There was originally a picture of leftover Norinco gun parts posted here--I saw it when it was first posted. Somebody substituted this goofy picture instead. Moderators, please delete stupid Japanese cartoon. Thank you, E. lol, I figured that's what happened, just had to give you shit.

I notice the mention of Lahti's on this board...

Perhaps you guys would be interested in one of my big projects I have on the burner.. I'm currently making payments on a legally dewatted Lahti L-39 20mm ATR that I plan to reactivate and rechamber to the 20mm Vulcan the US uses. I'll have to get reloading equipment and everything by the time I'm do...

Valmet Model 71 accurate with AK sights?

Just curious. I've heard Valmet's are very accurate, just curious if the plain AK sights versus the Galil type sights on the other models really kill the accuracy on these things, since it's not exactly a gun I want to drill into to mount a side rail to put optics on it. Looking for advice from the ...
